Specialty Grain
As your CO-OP, Sunrise Ag Service Company is dedicated to you and your interests in this very competitive market. It is our mission to ensure that our customers get every opportunity that the grain industry has to offer. Sunrise Ag Service Company is here to help you receive premiums for your speciality grain.

To receive premiums, QUALITY CONTROL is a MUST! Each Terminal has Quality Specifications that are required of them from their end user overseas. These specifications are easily attainable by following some basic steps.
  • IF CORN IS PLANTED ON GROUND PREVIOUSLY PLANTED CORN - IT MUST BE NON-GMO CORN
  • Buffer Zones of 60 feet or 24 rows from any GMO cornfields
  • Use of Insecticide or Fungicide after planting through delivery is STRICTLY PROHIBITTED
  • Spray for Morning Glory and Horse Weeds (These seeds are a major problem for the end users)
  • Be sure to match up acres to bin sizes
  • Accurate Records of what you planted where is ESSENTIAL
  • When requested, you must be able to provide a copy of your seed invoice showing proof of purchase of the apporved hybrids.
  • A "Chemical Usuage Declaration Form" MUST be signed and completed
  • Cleaning of your planter COMPLETELY is PRUDENT when switching to specialty crop planting
  • At Harvest, DO NOT co-mingle approved hybrids with non-approved hybrids. Often we have requests for a specific hybrid. If possible segregate hybrids by bin.
  • Signed and completed Grower Certificate verifying that the identity of the corn has been maintained from the field to the bin, and to the elevator will be required at the time of delivery for EACH shipment
  • Confirm that all harvest equipment (combine, auger wagons, legs, bins, and trucks)used is clean
  • When drying your specialty grain, DO NOT go beyond the maximum corn temperature of 100 degrees
